For many it's a relief, while for other parents it may be a shock, but that's just one of many steps. Firstly, welcome to the community. This journey is very individual so, will never be the same as someone else's, so my advice number 1. Don't compare your parenting & your child to either others in your environment or those dealing with the same/similar diagnosis. Anyways, you are not alone! When my daughter was diagnosed with hypotonia with associated developmental delay she was 18 months. No one noticed anything unusual at birth and for quite a while which I am very grateful for.
